Took my grandson to the space museum. Ordered this for him for a gift. It’s great quality and looks very nice. Can push for several colors. Can use as a night light if you wanted to. Really thought it was a great gift and would order again

For the reviews saying there’s random black dots around the planets (like it’s a defect), my son told me those represent the planet’s moons….which I think is a neat detail. The globe is smaller than I anticipated but is made of heavy glass and looks high quality. The base lights the globe in a really cool way, and I like that it can use 3 AAA batteries instead of having a cord hang off the shelf (cord does come included if you wish to use that option). My science obsessed kid really loves this little globe, and has it next to his James Webb Telescope pictures. Would recommend!

Glass globe
The glass globe itself is really nice and lights up well, but the quality of the cheap plastic base it sits on is subpar to say the nicest thing I can about it. It should be about $10 cheaper because of the base.

I purchased this “3D Crystal Ball with Solar System Model and LED lamp Base” as part of a Secret Santa gift for my boss who is a fan of astrology and she absolutely loved it. Everyone else wanted to know where I got it from, and when it’s lit up it looks even more impressive. The crystal ball has some good weight to it and the base it sits on is very sturdy. I highly recommend this as a gift for anyone who is into astrology. I think I’ll actually purchase another for myself now also.

Update to review below. Lovely for about 10 days. Now the light won’t come on.I love this product no problem within installation no problem with performance and it is beautiful on the windowsill at night. You won’t notice it much in the daytime but at night it is gorgeous. I look at it as I fall asleep.

This glass/planet sphere looked great in the pictures, but fell short of expectation. The base is made of cheap plastic and the light just randomly comes on. There is a switch, but it is not very touch sensitive. Overall, definitely not worth the price! I sent it back…it was a real disappointment! The little white box it came in, not the outer Amazon packaging, looked like it had seen better days.

I got this for my Husband thinking it would work as a light for his bedside. It is much smaller than I anticipated (l should have checked the sizing, so that is on me) and the quality of the model inside the glass isn’t quite as good as I would have liked (there are a few random black dots etc). from far away it’s fine but not at $50 I’m going to keep it to just put on my mantel as a lesson learned and a soft light source.
