It has standard inserts so you can make it whatever you want it to be
I have a lot of wires terminating behind my TV and I wanted something durable, usable, and relatively good-looking to make the connections. I like that this unit is recessed so that you can have furniture closer to the wall without damaging your speaker terminals. Also, since the three main ports are decora, they can be changed out to be whatever you want. You can even put something different where the power outlet is supposed to go.The unit is sturdy and has a good mechanism for holding it on the wall. I’ve put it on and taken it off quite a few times and I haven’t had any problems with it. When I did the initial installation, I glued a piece of lath at the top and bottom of the inside of the hole so that if I tightened the screws too tight, I wouldn’t damage the drywall. That makes for a very solid installation. The only thing I kept of the guts was the brush insert. I replaced the two screw-back speaker plates with ones that have more terminals (and banana jacks on the back) and I added a keystone plate (instead of having an outlet). I also replaced the silver screws that hold on the inserts with white ones.Even though all I really used is the shell, I’m very happy with this unit so far. Its holding up a lot of hardware with style.

Installation was good.
It can be installed both vertically or Horizontally it comes with a templete to cut the Sheetrock. My installation has a very clean look. I also relabeled the speaker post for surround and presence speakers. Make sure to identify were the studs are so you don’t have a stud in the.middle of your work. You will need a good stud finder.

Neat, Functional, and Almost Perfect
The Legrand – OnQ Home Theater Connection is a thoughtfully designed solution for managing the maze of cables that comes with a home theater setup. It supports a 5.1 speaker system and hides cords effectively, giving your entertainment area a clean, uncluttered look. The recessed design accommodates all plug types, and the white finish blends seamlessly with most walls. Despite its many positives, the installation process can be a bit tricky and might require professional help, which is why I’m giving it a 4-star rating. However, once installed, it simplifies your home theater system’s wiring and provides a cleaner aesthetic. It’s a good buy for those aiming to achieve a more organized and streamlined entertainment setup.

Wall plate
The only dislike was the coaxial subwoofer , I thought it would be a rca jack but the adapter worked well. The product is well built and makes organizing the wires

Great 5.1 Connection Wallplate
There are two things I really like about this wallplate. First, the backside of the speaker connections accommodate up to 10 gauge stranded wire. Second, the plastic plates that hold the connectors are beefy and not likely to break when tightening the set screws on the in-wall wire ends. One caution: I broke the two of the speaker wire set screws by over-tightening. (They’re holding fine, I just won’t be able to ever remove them.) Snug them firmly, but don’t tighten as tight as you can.

Easy to install and customize
I’m remodeling a 1950’s ranch style home on a raised foundation and took the opportunity to run my surround and subwoofer wiring under the house and this box fit the bill. The box is super easy to install and easy to customize since the inserts are standard decora type. Since I didn’t need to run the front speakers thought this, I replaced that section with a Legrand On-Q decora 4-port keystone plate for 4 ethernet cables. I then ran a patch cord and HDMI cable up to the TV and hardwired the receiver and Playstation to the other ethernet ports.

Works well enough
First, this uses standard Decora inserts. I swapped a few out and swapped my own keystone plates in, to get the connections I wanted.Second, there’s an additional oval knockout on the top, in case you need to get even more cables to your TV. I like this, as it allows me some additional expandability in the future if I need it. I wish it had the cable brush, too.The bad? The screws are silver. Not a big deal if your TV is in front of it, but it looks cheap to have metal screws. The outlet box for power is an old work clamp-style like you can find at big box stores for under a buck. For what this costs, I expected a more elegant solution. It does the job, and was easy enough to hook everything up, so there is that. I installed it over a fireplace mantle, so no clue how it would fit in a standard wall. Should fit, but it’s your wall.

Works well. Hides the cords.
We hired a professional to put this in, hang a wall mount and hang a 70 in tv. Outlet works well, has a lot of needed plugs and space. TV fits flush agains the wall and no cords visible. Exactly what we wanted.
