    Great choice!
Grabbed this based on good reviews.Purpose: dress shirts and pants and cotton blazers for 5T-men’s XL.Frequency of use: 2-3xweek 10-30 minPros: Nonstick plate Retractable cord Lots of steam on higher settings A little “slide” that makes adding water mess free Smooth glide Auto shut offs in multiple positionsPrice! Why pay $150 to press shorts and slacks?Cons:-Does not actually spray out water, instead it sort of dribbles out. Not a deal breaker considering the pros-I just use a fine mist spray bottle which probably serves my purposes better anyways- The tip doesn’t get as hot as the rest of the plate for the fine work around buttons. Still does a good job, I’m just being very particular when it comes to stubborn folds. Sti workableI’m pleased. Still 5 stars because it’s got smart little features and it’s an improvement from my 8+ y/o model!

    Unstuff your sinuses while ironing!
Replacing my Black & Decker iron F630S circa 1993 (see picture for comparison), which still works!!!! I have only owned Black & Decker irons, and I believe this will be only my 3rd one. My mother had a Rowena, which I loved, but I have read such mixed reviews, it put me off, not to mention the price.REVIEW: Black & Decker ICR2020 Vitessa GREEN non-stick soleplateVERY HAPPY WITH THIS IRON!Very nice design! Love the cord reel—a great feature. I was worried it didn’t have enough steam holes (some Rowenas have 400 holes), but it makes plenty of steam on the highest setting, #6. My glasses were fogging up! The water tank is easy to fill (not sure why some people have had problems), but there is a little cap over the fill hole that acts like a “funnel” when it is open to fill the iron. I wanted an auto shut-off, which this has, and also the Self-Cleaning button, which this has. My old iron had both these features & I think the self-cleaning feature may have contributed to it’s long life. The non-stick soleplate was also a must have, but not that easy to find, now. If you have ever had to use starch with a stainless steel soleplate, it is a nightmare! I’m not sure why the non-stick soleplate is hard to find now, but it is a must have for me! Heats up fairly quickly, I did not time this, but anything up to a few minutes is fine. I don’t need it to be at full heat in 20 seconds. The spray works fine (my old iron’s spray was more of a stream than spray). The shot of steam is also great and was on my previous iron. I feel like the Vitessa is the newest update for the iron I had, since it has most of the same features. This is not digital, it has a dial, which was not an issue for me. So far, it has not leaked or spit, but I know with my old one, if it started leaking or spitting, it meant it needed to be cleaned with the Self-Cleaning button. Seems to be a good weight, not too light and not heavy—it feels slightly lighter than the old one. If this lasts half as long as my old one, it will probably outlast me!

    Pretty nice iron!
I love the fact that it has different settings and it’s pretty easy to understand when to use each one. The reason why I didn’t give it a full five stars is because getting water in it for steam was messy. The opening isn’t very big, so free-hand pouring was clearly not going to turn out well. I got a funnel but still, I spilled some water because it was not going into the tank as fast as the funnel was pouring it in. You’ll have to learn to pour very slowly and use a funnel to keep from getting water all over your ironing board. Once the water was in and I was ready to use it, it worked beautifully. The steam was strong and hot. I only had it on a setting of 4 too, which is the lowest setting to obtain steam. The sprayer worked great, but I found the extra steam button to not be very reliable on the 4 setting. Perhaps if I had it higher it would have worked better. Sometimes it would kick out a gust of steam and other times it wouldn’t and I had to press the button more than once. I’m not a huge steam fan and I already have a steamer for clothes that don’t tolerate a hot plate irons, so for me it was not a big deal. I did decide to keep it. I love that it has a very narrow tip that allows for some detailed ironing. Overall, it’s a nice iron and most will be happy with it; just not the steam lovers. In it’s defense, it did give out really good steam with just ironing, so for most I doubt that extra boost of steam would be needed anyway.
