Huge win on this skillet
I spent a LOT of time reading reviews before buying this, and I’m very happy I did. We were replacing an old-fashioned skillet (the kind gramma used to use) and really liked the basic features: the heating element is effectively welded to the bottom, the pan is solid and distributes heat well, the entire unit is submersible and safe to wash, and it was solid and felt well built. This unit is all that, AND it’s newer non-stick surface is a dream. It’s bigger than the old one, and still heats evenly… we can simmer sauce or boil water in it, or make pancakes or eggs and have everything heat evenly, no problem. The vented glass top is a nice addition. When done, put it in the sink or dishwasher and completely clean it and just let it dry… simple as that. The heating element works exactly like the old one: easy to access & read and holds temp well (doesn’t fluctuate wildly when it reaches temp). Yea it costs more than the “recommended cheap brands” but I HIGHLY recommend it!

Electric frying pan
Love it I think it’s overpriced but I love an electric frying pan. They’re such easy cleanup. I never put it in the dishwasher and I use silicone utensils with it. It’s just easier to cook on that because I have pets and I don’t have to worry if anyone goes in the kitchen of getting burnt that could be Cleaned immediately

FINALLY – an Electric Skillet that WORKS!
I love cooking with an electric skillet. My previous one wasn’t living up to my expectations: uneven heat, faulty thermostat and flimsy design. Enter, the De’ Longhi Electric Skillet! I did my research and knew I wanted a high quality skillet that lived up to it’s reviews. I’m SO HAPPY with this skillet! It maintains the heat level and cooks evenly throughout the bottom. Definitely worth the money!

I purchased this for my Mom for her birthday and she loves it. It’s a nice size as well as nice quality.UPDATE:I purchased this grill for my Mom for her birthday and she was pleased with how big it was so I decided to also purchase one for myself from Cuccinabella. THAT was a BIG mistake purchasing from them! My grill looked new but the thermostat plug obviously wasn’t new! The box for the thermostat had oil on both ends AND the unit had a ding in it where you adjust the temp, not to mention the plug-in part was all discolored from being used. Upon receiving and opening the box I was very upset and contacted seller as well as Amazon to report this and requested a full refund as well as them to pay for the return shipping costs.The company wrote me back the next day stating “I am sorry to hear that. We normally ask for pictures of the item to see who was in charged of packing it the condition but we trust you are being honest so I just went ahead and issue your refund you should see it back to your card that you used to pay for the grill in 1 day. As far as the grill as a token for our mistake we will let you keep it. Again sorry for the inconvenience, we noticed that you bought another grill from us before so we wouldnt want to lose you as a customer for this mistake. Please keep the grill as a token for our mistake”.I thought that was an honest attempt from the company to right a wrong. That was until the seller got caught trying to deceive me on only paying me $35 and not the TAXES and SHIPPING/HANDLING fees associated with the purchase. Total purchase cost of item, taxes, and s/h came to $51.89. Since they had to refund me yesterday for the full amount, I received a UPS mailer from them this morning now wanting the item returned. I just want to make others aware of the bad business practices, order at your own risk!

VERY GOOD PRODUCT.
This is very nice. Good coating, the lid vents, and the electrical connection is good. Heats up fast, so I have had to adjust my cooking methods a bit. It is very large, I think a slightly smaller one would have been better for our use, but that is my fault, not the mfg or appliance. Highly recommended.Have been using for several months now and love this pan. Cooks fast, even and cleans up beautifully. Have gotten used to the large size & use it frequently. The heat controller has a very good connection, which I have found to be very flimsy in other manufacturer’s products. Wish DeLonghi had more product offerings, as I would buy them in a heartbeat.

not good for frying
well packaged and solid construction. easy to clean. if you want it for pancakes, eggs, roasting you will be happy with this. we bought it to skillet fry chicken, fish etc. oil would not get up to temp. even when set at maximum 400 the oil barely got to 340. returned for credit. will try a higher wattage skillet.

My parents have a Hamilton Beach electric skillet that we used when we were camping this past summer. I was impressed with how easy it was to use and clean. I came home and searched Amazon for a quality skillet…and landed on this gem. As always, I checked out the reviews and knew that there are always reviews from people who got a “lemon”. However, there were far more positive reviews so I decided to order it. Best decision ever! It DOES cook evenly. The temperature control DOES work properly. The non-stick coating DOES stay on. There are NO nicks, NO dings, NO scratches on the surface. It IS super easy to wash either by hand or in the dishwasher. In my opinion (for whatever it’s worth) this skillet is well worth the price!

Great addition for my little basement suite kitchen. Between it and my Toaster oven, I can manage any meal for two of us. I am saddened though that the knob of the lid constantly has to be tightened. I guess it doesn’t matter how much money you spend on something anymore, it’s all made in china regardless of the brand name. Apart from that nuisance problem, the Delonghi electric skillet suits my needs and I have made a few nice meals already, including a rib eye steak with onions and zucchini zuddles.
