Powerful, good for small areas
For the money, this is a very good little vacuum. I wish the cord was longer. For a small apartment, on Hardwood and carpet it does good job. No bags to replace but has to be emptied often The cord is cumbersome to Rewind. Easy to store.

Only lasted me about 8 months of VERY LIGHT USE—UPDATED REVIEW**
UPDATE – SUCCESS! I got the rolling mechanism working again by taking off the top of the vacuum via the 6 screws located on the bottom w/a phillips screwdriver. There was a ton of hair wrapped around the rotator bar inside the lid on both sides of the spinning bar. After cleaning this on both sides, the vacuum works again. I just googled ‘dirt devil vibe rotator stopped spinning’ and quickly found an instructional online for this.I have only had this vacuum for 8 months, and the spinning mechanism on the roller has stopped working. I cleaned everything and washed and dried the filter. When I turn it on, the roller will only spin for about 10 seconds before stopping. The vaccuum still has power, but the the roller won’t spin. The suction is also very weak. I want to return this for a refund, but I no longer have the box. I’m really disappointed. I don’t have a lot of money, and this is a bummer. I’ve only used it maybe once per week on a oval 4 x 6 short height rug.I will update my review if I have any luck with a return from Dirt Devil for this Dirt Devil Vibe stick vac. Sad face here.*update: no luck with a return, and the vacuum is still broke. Picks up nothing. Was only used very lightly on 1 small rug, and broke after 8 months. I do not recommend buying this.

This is one fantastic cleaner.
I don`t have much room in my home, so I bought a small vacuum, and the rooms that are carpeted, I swore they were clean. I have a few different types of small sweepers, but apparently, they couldn`t do the job. I ran the Dirt Devil over my two rooms with carpet 2 days in a row and the amount of dog hair this little thing picked up, was UNREAL!!!! It filled the canister TWICE!! I`m a clean freak and I`m embarrassed at the dirtiness of these carpets and quite grossed out. This thing is AMAZING!! I have not tried it in my vehicle yet, but I WILL NOT be disappointed. IF this little thing dies, I WILL buy again!! I LOVE this little thing!! I`m IMPRESSED and THANK YOU!!

Portable and inexpensive vacuum, perfect for our RV
This is the perfect vacuum for our RV. It packs down into a very small package that is easy to stow, yet gives you the flexibility and features usually reserved for larger home vacuums.First it is bagless. It does use a small fabric type filter which will need to be periodically cleaned. They also sell replacement filters if it eventually fails. It is listed as an F77 filter. For its size it has reasonably good suction. There is a small add on gray fitting that allows the suction to be focused a bit better than using just the vacuum. The beater bar is easy to install and remove with a simple press of a locking button. I wouldn’t count on it to be able to do much on shag carpet, but for our camper’s low pile carpet, it seems to work well. The handle is also removable which make this easy to stow, but also gives the added advantage of being able to stand upright. We can quickly detach the beater bar and handle and store this in a small amount of space under our kitchen sink.We considered getting a cordless unit versus this corded unit. Since this was going to be used in our camper, there will be seasons where the vacuum will not be used so we didn’t want to worry about the batteries dying during winter storage.I think Amazon usually blanks out prices, so I won’t bother posting what we paid for it… but let’s just say that I could get 10 of these before we could afford the cheapest Dyson. This is one of those budget items that meets the exact needs and fulfills its purpose. We had a similar corded Dirt Devil that we had for almost 20 years in our home before it finally died. We hope for a similar life for this in our RV.

Light use ONLY!
I’ve used Dirt Devil for years and haven’t really had an issue with them. I’m genuinely disappointed in this one. I still have my non beater-brush DD and it’s suction is phenomenal! But that one is also 5+ years old. So I think quality has taken a dip. I had one of the older beater-brush models from years ago and gave it to my dad who has a small apartment and it’s just him and his cat. So I got this one. Man has it changed! The cup latch needs focus because it’s flimsey. Don’t even bother with it if you have pets. It doesn’t do a great job on fur. If you’re just using the base unit, you must use the funnel attachment or you almost have to smother what you’re trying to vacuum up.If you have no pets or kids and just need it for very light cleaning, it’s worth it. But otherwise, go with a different brand.

As I live in the UK I expected the Dirt Devil to be OK for UK voltage and have a suitable plug. It did not, but an immediate refund given by the vendor, so no complaints!

Saludos!

My vibe vacuum came used but practically like new, it was just missing a screw for attaching the handle (that’s the only reason for the star deduction). Easy fix, some electrician’s tape did the trick. This thing is a total lifesaver for small spaces where it doesn’t make sense to have a full-size vacuum. Carpet brush works pretty well and it’s really easy to empty out for cleaning. The head is a little stiff when detaching it to use the smaller nozzle attachment, but I’m sure that it’ll loosen over time. My grandma has one in her apartment and I loved using it to clean her place, so I got one for myself too. I only wish it had a slightly narrower / longer attachment to make it easy to get into super tiny spaces like vents and under car seats. Still, totally worth it. 🙂
