Inexpensive, Easy to use, Great coffee!
What’s not to like? The Starfrit coffee maker is quite inexpensive. It makes a nice, piping-hot pot of coffee, with adjustable brew strength. Great coffee maker for the money.

Gave this 5 star rating for all categories and overall. The functions do what they are supposed to, including extra strength coffee does come out strong. The removable grounds basket is easy to clean and saves on buying filters and extra trash. It is easy to use, and looks great on my counter. It is a very attractive stainless steel machine that leaves out the bulkiness you see in a Mr. Coffee, but will still brew up to 12 cups at a time. I usually brew 4 cups each day as I live alone, and it does very well for small brewing as well. As prior military, I appreciate the military time display. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a great coffee maker.

Easy to use, but leaking after a year.
UPDATED REVIEW. I purchased this coffee pot a couple months after my mom purchased and loved it. Several months ago she said the machine would leak water all over her counter. I thought maybe it was because she is semi-handicapped and possibly not getting the water into the machine. Last week, ours started doing the same thing. It appears water leaks from the bottom. Husband put a cookie sheet underneath and we tested it. It would fill the small cookie sheet with nearly 1/4″ of water. As much as loved the simplicity of this machine, leaking water and having the plugged in machine standing in sitting water was not our idea of safety. Nice coffee pot. Took awhile to get used to the 24 hour clock.

Makes very good coffee
I really like this so far. It’s really easy to clean (yay dishwasher safe stuff!) and makes making coffee really easy (love the setting the coffee maker to start in the morning so I don’t have to focus as much then – I am not a morning person but the machine makes it easier. The clock using military time took a bit of getting used to but other than that I really like it.

Unfortunately I shattered the carafe by knocking it off the counter, and needed a fresh look anyway after years of service. My friend, who is quite the coffee drinker, always compliments my Community Coffee dark roast made in this coffee maker.

I don’t program it so can’t review that. It makes my coffee hot and quick. It’s pretty on the counter and wasn’t a bad price. Overall happy.

Loved it out of the box
Met all expectations. great looking unit, simple to use. Works on a 24hr clock, meaning it reads in military time.. Great for an Army lifer.. Simple to use and makes a great cup of Joe.

Luke warm brewed coffee
Coffee is warm and not hot after being brewed. Almost room temperature.

Good coffee maker. No bells or whistles. Bought it becasue of the good reviews. “Anti-drip” feature does not always work – drips coffee about half the time onto the hot plate when getting a cup mid brew. The hot-plate gets really hot and if there is less than a cup of coffee it heats it until it turns into a “thick” coffee. Good coffee maker overall, especially if you plan to drink your coffee right away and not let it sit for more than 45 minutes. Auto shut off is nice. Worth the money.

The machine itself is okay. However, the carafe is of inferior quality. It cracked and leaked on my wooden floor in the early morning when it was set up automatically. I’ve gotten a replacement from Amazon and washed and cleaned it very carefully. Within six months, the second one broke apart by itself. Very poor quality!

Finally a clock that tells the time the way I like it…. No am no pm….in Québec.Not sure I am going to use the timer as it brews a full pot while I shower…The coffee pot pours way better than my old one. It is also easier to fill. So I store my funnel away.As I sipping my first cup, I can tell you I like that black coffee.The only small flaw: only 40 minutes keep warm function. But of course I knew before buying. So I get my thermos to fill in.How long will this coffee maker last? Time will tell.This coffee maker gives me : the time andBrews a strong coffee… Piping hot…After a few weeks, I realized that the function keep warm is longer…almost 90 minutes. Still loves this coffee maker…

Read the reviews and decided not to purchase because of the military time clock. I wanted another “cone” coffee maker to replace my Hamilton Beach that was amazing and lasted about 15 years! I reached out via email asking if the military time can be changed to standard AM/PM? I got a reply back that “no” it can only display standard time. Huh? After calling and speaking to a live person the confusion persisted on what the difference was between military and standard time. Anyhow, tech support said NO… only military time.I couldn’t find another cone coffee maker with decent reviews so I pulled the trigger and figured I could live with the military time clock. In a nut shell:+ Coffee produced was very hot which I like.+ Maker has a small foot print and looks great.+ The carafe does not drip when pouring which is a peeve of mine.- The display is very bright (not something I like but a fridge magnet over the clock fixed that).- The taste of the same coffee I always use tasted like chocolate for some reason when brewed in this maker? I tried with the permanent filter that came with it. A paper filter that I normally use. Strong Brew mode… nothing changed. It always tasted like cocoa.- After a brew, when you lift the lid it also lifts the spray head which is now angled more towards you. The lid dumps residual water back into the reservoir and it blasts out a shot of steam and water. You need to lift it and shut it fast.- The reason I had to return it was the automatic brew function didn’t work. Pressing it would not activate the delay brew.Back to a Hamilton Beach but with a brew basket instead of cone. Fingers crossed I get 15 years out of that one.
