This is a complete system
Easy to install. I would suggest buying higher grade speaker wires, however. This is a great stereo system and a reasonable price.

As everything gets to a smaller use of space, this system is Unbelievable. I spent over 14X on our previous surround sound system from the highest end components and they can’t compare. This is the best & smartest system ever. I had trouble connecting our cable system to it…2 days later, it Fugured it out on its own?!?INCREDIBLE SYSTEM AND SOUND!22☆ on a scale of 5-

Great Sound, but Lacks Modern Connectivity
I purchased the Yamaha YHT-5960U Home Theater System, primarily to connect my turntable, but my impressions have been mixed.Pros: • Sound Quality: The sound is impressive. Audio output is clear and full, making it perfect for both movies and music. • Loudness: The system can get loud without distorting the sound, which is great for larger rooms or those who enjoy a more immersive experience.Cons: • Wiring Connections: Connecting the wires on the back of the unit is quite challenging, especially if you don’t have small fingers. The connectors are not user-friendly and can become frustrating during setup. • Outdated Setup Interface: The on-screen setup feels like something from a past era. Navigating through the settings on the TV is clunky and far from intuitive, which detracts from the overall user experience. • Bluetooth Connectivity: Bluetooth is surprisingly unreliable. Previously connected devices seem to be randomly stored or erased, and I haven’t figured out any consistent pattern behind this behavior. • MusicCast App: The MusicCast app feels underdeveloped. It’s as if it were a high school project, with a lack of polish and features. The app’s usability leaves much to be desired, making it hard to control the system via mobile devices.In summary, while the Yamaha YHT-5960U delivers in sound quality and volume, it falls short in terms of ease of use and modern connectivity features. If you’re after great sound and can tolerate some setup headaches, it’s still worth considering. However, if seamless connectivity and modern app control are important to you, this system might be a bit of a letdown.I have to add one star; after the last firmware update, Bluetooth connectivity is decent.

Easy to install and powerful sound!
We wanted to upgrade our sound system. Delivery and packaging were great!I am not tech savvy by any means but was able to install this with no issues!The different setting options are great that you can adjust to whatever you are watching. I like the sleek design of the speakers that I can still have the powerful sound without the bulky speakers all over the room.Only downside is the receiver is a bit on the bulky side so I had to buy a platform for it to be able to sit on my floating tv stand. But other than that this is a great system!

Stopped working after firmware update
Had it for 3 weeks, it did a firmware update and now no picture, just sound. Contacted Amazon, they put me in contact with Yamaha. They could not fix it over the phone. They set up a pickup for the bad one for the next day by UPS. I had to buy a box to put it in because the original box is in the trash. They said they will send out a new one. We will see if the next one works. I will give an update.

This system is just like a beautiful woman. It looks awesome and sounds even better. If it doesn’t want to work, then you are just gonna have to deal with it for a while, but is really worth it in the long run. All your friends will comment on how great it is so long they don’t have to put up with the little details. They definitely don’t get to touch it but they can admire. Samsung TV’s will fight you with this. About the only way I get it to work long term is to run an expensive optical cable from the tv to the unit. No Problems now but it defeats the purpose of all those hdmi’s on the back. To sum up, by the time you realize how much trouble this is, you have already spent so much time and money on it, you will just be happy to sit down and watch tv.

Decent system
For only an 80w system it can produce some fairly good sound. Its only drawbacks are the speakers that come bundled with it. The product description rates them at 30w (100 max) but after blowing one out I decided to tear it apart and saw it stamped at 15w on the back. I’m not an expert in how ratings work but thought that was odd anyways.I upgraded the blown speaker with a set of Sony SS-CS5 and they sound amazing. The YPAO works great but with the mismatched sets they will throw a W-3 Level error, meaning it detected one or more speakers louder than the others, which is to be expected. But if your savvy enough this unit has more than enough sound customization/equalization to balance it out.

Es un teatro genial muchas funciones suena muy claro y nítido el sonido suena demás bastante duro y bonito es de sentarte y indagar bien en tantas funciones muy a gusto lo único es q si te gusta escuchar música siento q le a hace falta algo de bajo para cierto géneros de música como rap reggaeton si le subes mucho el volumen se ahoga y distorsiona el bajo y a veces siento como si tuviera mucha voz o brillo use el ypao y mejoro algo pero no del todo por eso pienso q le falta bajo tal vez me falta indagar mas en su funciones en mi opnion es un excelente equipo y no deja de ser yamaha muy buena marca pero aparte de esto excelente compra
